Rob Austin, Executive Manager, WTTWTT is a local company rooted in the cultures, lifestyle and future of Eastern Connecticut. Attention to detail, passionate service delivery and the specific benefit to the client are WTT trademarks. Rob Austin founded WTT on the principles of lifelong learning, career and skill development education. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has a solid track record of delivering workshops, seminars and in-service training, including 6 years of experience designing and delivering outstanding programs for the clients of the Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB).

With an award winning background in education, Rob designs workshops with the learning objective and focus on career/job search. He is a firm believer in the best practices of adult learning theory.

Born and raised in Eastern Connecticut, Rob’s large extended family is scattered throughout the region. They are employed (many at the Director level) at the Montville Public Schools, Electric Boat, Groton Regency Center, Navy Sub Base, Pfizer and the Coast Guard Academy. He is a graduate of St. Bernard High School in Uncasville, where he is an Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee. He has four daughters. Rob’s family connections and roots are in Eastern Connecticut.

Recently, Rob has held combined positions of Training Developer and Shift Manager of Shared Labor for the Mohegan Sun Gaming Authority. As Training Developer, Rob developed the Core Manager/Supervisor series for new and inexperienced managers and several Spirit of Aquai customer service programs for various departments. In the Shared Labor position, Rob manages the learning and development wing, where employees learn the skills for multiple positions. Rob does the recruiting, hiring, training and skill counseling for over 400 part-time and on-call staff at Mohegan Sun. In this position, Rob adapts his keen awareness of career development in guiding employees to suitable careers within the gaming industry.

Rob belongs to the American Society for Training and Development, and is an advisory member of Peter Weddle’s Online Career Counseling Seminars. Currently, Rob is pursuing a graduate certificate in Hospitality and Tourism from the Isenberg School of Management @ University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

WTT is a member of the Norwich Chamber of Commerce.
